Science, precision and care at every step

Progeny was founded by Dr. Rocío Vicioso Ezquer and her partner, two Spanish veterinary specialists with over 20 years of combined clinical experience across Europe. Based in Bodenwöhr, Bavaria, we bring the highest standards of reproductive medicine together with something less common in this field: a direct, open and genuinely close relationship with every client.

We involve our clients in every step of the process. We discuss decisions together, explain results clearly and never leave a question unanswered. Whether you are a performance horse breeder, a stud farm manager or a fellow veterinary professional, our approach is always the same: rigorous, personal and transparent.

Our principles

A code of ethics we stand by

Our work is guided by a clear set of principles that put animal welfare, scientific integrity and client trust above all else.

Animal welfare first

No procedure is performed if the animal shows signs of discomfort. We use individual sedation protocols and cancel any intervention that could compromise the animal's wellbeing.

EU-certified laboratory

Our laboratory meets the requirements of European Union Directive 92/65/EEC and is subject to annual inspections by the competent veterinary authority.

Full transparency

We communicate openly at every stage: realistic success rates, costs and outcomes. There are no hidden fees and no inflated promises.

Strict confidentiality

Client and animal data is handled with absolute discretion. We never share information about your breeding programme without your explicit consent.

Continuing education

We participate in international reproductive medicine conferences and research networks to ensure our techniques remain at the forefront of the field.

Responsible breeding

We reserve the right to decline procedures that conflict with the welfare of the animal or the ethical standards of our profession, regardless of commercial pressure.

A reference centre
for equine reproduction

Our clients are not only breeders and stud farm managers. We collaborate with veterinary practices, breeding associations and research networks, and we actively seek partnerships with colleagues who want to offer reproductive medicine services to their clients without the infrastructure to do so.

Breeders & stud farms

We work directly with performance horse and cattle breeders who want expert reproductive medicine, personalised attention and honest communication throughout each season. Every case is handled with the same rigour and care.

Veterinary partnerships

If your clients need reproductive medicine and you don't have the infrastructure, we can be your specialist partner. We handle the cases; you maintain the relationship with your clients. A professional collaboration built on trust and shared standards.

Associations & research

We collaborate with breed associations, national federations and research institutions. If your organisation is looking for a specialist reproductive medicine centre for clinical projects, training or technical support, we would be glad to talk.

Tell us about your animal and what you need. We will respond within one working day.
